Getting started
Five steps from "I just signed in" to "I'm seeing real data".
1. Sign in
VinTekh is single-sign-on only via your organisation's Microsoft Entra ID. Click Continue with Microsoft on the sign-in page. There's no separate signup — the first sign-in onboards you automatically.
After sign-in you land on the Dashboard. If every tile is empty, that's expected — you haven't connected a source yet.
2. Connect your first source
Open Sources. Pick a source kind — Azure is the most common starting point. Follow the credential wizard for that kind. The wizard tells you the minimum role needed (almost always Reader or equivalent).
See the per-connector guides for the exact steps:
- Azure
- AWS, GCP, Wiz, Defender — coming soon to this docs section
3. Watch the first sync
Once you save credentials, the discovery worker runs immediately in the background. You'll see the source row transition through pending → running → success.
First sync usually completes in 30-60 seconds for a small subscription. Larger estates can take up to a few minutes.
4. Explore what was discovered
- Resources — every individual cloud object discovered.
- Issues — security findings from Defender / Wiz / etc.
- Service coverage — what types of services VinTekh can model.
- Platform capabilities — the analyst-category taxonomy with our honest role per category.
5. Run your first investigation
Pick any open finding under Issues. Click it. Choose Start investigation. The orchestrator pulls topology, evidence, related findings, and produces a structured analysis with recommendations.
Each recommendation has confidence, impact, pre-checks, safer alternatives, a verification plan, and a rollback plan. Push to Slack or ServiceNow with one click — both leave an audit trail.
